Electromechanic

Full-time position, Monday to Thursday – day or evening shift available
Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the electromechanic is responsible for ensuring the proper operation of production equipment.
Electromechanic job description
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment;
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and electronic failures, and recommend appropriate solutions;
- Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns to minimize production downtime;
- Participate in the installation, assembly, and commissioning of new equipment;
- Support production teams with production line adjustments and equipment setup;
- Complete maintenance reports and ensure technical documentation is updated;
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to maintenance processes;
- Maintain cleanliness of the plant and work area;
- Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Hold a vocational diploma (DEP) in Automated Systems Electromechanics, a college diploma (DEC) in Electrotechnology, or an Attestation of College Studies (AEC) in Automation;
- Be legally authorized to work in Canada;
- Be bilingual (French and English) – required;
- Previous experience in the food industry and manufacturing sector is considered an asset;
- Knowledge of food industry standards, including HACCP;
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in electromechanics – required;
- Be autonomous, organized, resourceful, and proactive;
- Advanced knowledge of electricity, controls, and automation;
- Strong learning ability, adaptability, and physical stamina;
- Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision;
- Strong communication skills;
- Excellent ability to manage priorities.
Compensation and working conditions
- Permanent full-time position;
- Number of positions to be filled : 2
- One daytime position: 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- One evening position: 5:00 p.m. to 3:00 a.m.
- Salary: To be discussed;
- Four-day workweek (Monday to Thursday);
- Weekly pay.
